Beaufort installation in French Country home in North Carolina

Date: 10.15.06

Description:

The flooring was and random pattern clear quarter sawn heart pine milled out of 12” x 15” x 20’ beams reclaimed from a textile in the western part of North Carolina. This project was especially fun for the home owners because they added a touch of art to the flooring by scoring and painting the squares in the kitchen area of the house.

Testimonial:

“We love our reclaimed heart of pine flooring and get so many compliments about its unique look.”

-Hunter and Kara Blount

Description:

The reclaimed heart of pine flooring in this home was milled from tobacco warehouses that are no longer in production. As you can see the flooring has many scattered knots and some nail holes from the long 2” x 10” x 10’ decking boards that yielded the flooring.

Testimonial:

“Our home was in the Parade of Homes and we had so many compliments on our flooring during the tour.”

Halifax Installation in Georgian Home

Date: 9.15.07

Description:

The reclaimed heart of pine came from large beams and 2 by 12 boards from an old tobacco barn located on a family farm that is no longer used for agricultural cultivation.  The wood is rustic but has good heart pine content in the boards.  The floors have wormy and buggy holes from the wood sitting out on the farm for so many years.  However, after kiln drying the wood all the insects have been exterminated and the floors have a lot of character.

Testimonial:

“My father and I were always wondering what to do with all of the old beautiful wood on our family farm in the country. We discovered Heritage Wide Plank Floors and they offered to custom mill the wood into flooring. Since we moved into our house I have relatives in other parts of the state who want to reclaim barns on their farm properties to mill into flooring.”

“The flooring is one the conversation pieces when we have friends and family over for gatherings. They cannot believe that old barn wood could turn out to be such a beautiful floor. The floors are easy to keep and they do not show scratches.”

Wilson Installation in Golf Cottage

Date: 3.15.09

Description:

The reclaimed tobacco barn plank flooring was installed in this beautiful cottage style golf home located in Pinehurst, NC. The wood was reclaimed from tobacco barns in Eastern North Carolina and the floors were sanded down to the natural surface showing character with scattered knots, nail holes and original saw marks. Our installers applied tongue oil on the flooring that darkened the floor giving it a rustic look.

Testimonial:

"We designed a cozy comfortable cottage style “look and feel” lake front home at the Country Club of North Carolina located in Pinehurst. We used all reclaimed tobacco barn heart pine flooring, exposed rustic beams, mantles and stair treads inside the house. The materials we used really make the house stick out and received wonderful response from those who have viewed the house.

The Randolph Ash Plank Installation in French Creole Style home

Date: 3.15.09

Description:

The Ash flooring is a 5 inch select grade that was installed length wise in the house which accentuated the architects desire to have an open area home with style.  The flooring was stained with a Jacobean stain from Minwax which really brought out the long lengths of the individual planks.  The average lengths of the boards were 10 foot long which was a request by the home owner and the architect.

Testimonial:

“I was referred to Heritage Plank Floors by a friend who had recently had tobacco barn wood installed in her home.  My friend liked the company and the installers so I decided to meet with them.  My builder had recommended a budget for the flooring and Jim from Heritage Plank Floors found a flooring that fit our taste and our price range.”
